Cold Case Cowboys, Case 2

The second case assigned to the Cold Case Cowboys was the 1988 disappearance of Barbara Joy Gallagher, (Barbi). Barbi went missing in October of 1988 and subsequently missed events and family contacts that she had never missed before. Although her body was never found, the case was solved and closed, according to the U.S. Justice Departments' uniform crime reporting guidelines. Our investigation provided the District Attorney's Office with the probably cause to believe that Robert Barr, Barbi's boyfriend at the time of her disappearance, was responsible for her death. If Barr was still alive he could be arrested and charged with the murder of Barbara Gallagher. Barr committed suicide in Lake Tahoe, CA in April, 2001.
